Ingredients
- 2 cups pretzels (rods or twists)
- 1 cup caramel (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate
- Sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the Caramel: If using homemade caramel, melt the sugar over medium heat until it’s amber and stir in cream until smooth. For store-bought, warm in the microwave until dip-able.
- Combine the Pretzels: Spread the pretzels evenly across the lined baking sheet.
- Pour the Caramel: Drizzle the melted caramel generously over the pretzels, covering them well.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate in 30-second bursts, stirring between cycles until smooth.
- Drizzle and Set: Pour melted chocolate over the caramel-coated pretzels and spread evenly. Sprinkle sea salt on top before it cools.
- Chill to Set: Let the bark cool at room temperature or in the fridge to speed up the setting process.
- Break and Enjoy: Once set, break the bark into pieces and enjoy.
Notes
Monitor the melting caramel closely to prevent bitterness. Allow the bark to cool properly for the best flavor.
