- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl using a fork until smooth.
- Add melted butter to the bananas and mix thoroughly, then stir in the sugar, followed by the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently, being careful not to over-mix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture. Avoid over-mixing the batter to keep the cake fluffy.
