No reviews

A flavorful and rich dish featuring grilled rock lobster tails coated in a buttery miso glaze.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Rock lobster tails
  • Unsalted butter
  • Miso paste
  • Fresh garlic
  • Chives or parsley
  • Fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. If using frozen lobster tails, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight. Slice the shells down the middle, keeping the meat attached at the base.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Whisk in miso paste until smooth, then stir in minced garlic and lemon juice.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Brush lobster tails with the miso-butter mixture and place on the grill, flesh-side down. Cook for 5-7 minutes, flip, brush again with miso-butter, and grill for another 5 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Remove lobsters from the grill, drizzle with remaining miso-butter, and garnish with herbs before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the lobster to maintain its tenderness. Consider marinating the lobster in miso and garlic for added flavor.
