Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz thinly sliced deli ham
  • 8 oz shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère)
  • 2 tbsp mustard or pesto
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Spread mustard or pesto evenly across the puff pastry.
  4. Layer the ham slices over the pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the ham.
  6. Carefully roll the pastry into a tight log.
  7. Slice the log into 1-inch pieces and arrange them cut-side up on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
