Ingredients
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Mix until smooth.
- Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes.
- Shape the chilled mixture into small balls and flatten them into discs on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Freeze the patties for about 1 hour.
- Melt dark chocolate with coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave.
- Dip each frozen patty into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
- Let the chocolate set at room temperature or in the fridge.
- Serve the peppermint patties with a warm cup of cocoa or share with friends and family.
Notes
For dairy-free patties, use plant-based condensed milk. Experiment with different extracts for custom flavors.
