A simple yet elegant dish featuring seared trout infused with garlic butter, finished with fresh lemon and parsley.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 Fresh trout fillets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juice and zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the trout fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
  3. Place the trout fillets skin-side down in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip the fillets over, adding the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic, basting the fish with the melted butter for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, adding lemon zest and chopped parsley.
  6. Serve immediately, drizzling pan juices over the fillets.

Notes

For best results, pat the fish dry to achieve crispy skin. Use a non-stick skillet for easier flipping.
