Ingredients
- 4 Fresh trout fillets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juice and zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the trout fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
- Place the trout fillets skin-side down in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
- Flip the fillets over, adding the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic, basting the fish with the melted butter for 2-3 minutes.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, adding lemon zest and chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, drizzling pan juices over the fillets.
Notes
For best results, pat the fish dry to achieve crispy skin. Use a non-stick skillet for easier flipping.
