Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, gently folding until just combined.
  6. Fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
