Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 4 cups Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in a skillet over medium heat and transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Sauté onion, garlic, celery, and carrots in the skillet until tender.
  3. Add potatoes, sautéed vegetables, broth, and seasonings to the crockpot and mix well.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Stir in heavy cream or milk 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Ladle into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute ground turkey and use vegetable broth. Adjust seasonings before serving for the best flavor.
