Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 4 cups Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the meat in a skillet over medium heat and transfer to the slow cooker.
- Sauté onion, garlic, celery, and carrots in the skillet until tender.
- Add potatoes, sautéed vegetables, broth, and seasonings to the crockpot and mix well.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir in heavy cream or milk 30 minutes before serving.
- Ladle into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute ground turkey and use vegetable broth. Adjust seasonings before serving for the best flavor.
