Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey, beef, or pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (rosemary, parsley, or thyme), chopped
- 1 can cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped herbs, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Mix gently.
- Form the mixture into bite-sized meatballs.
- Place the meatballs on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the meatballs bake, combine the cranberry sauce and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until blended, then let simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Toss the cooked meatballs in the warmed cranberry sauce until fully coated.
- Serve warm on a platter, garnished with additional herbs.
Notes
For a lighter option, use ground chicken or a veggie blend. Gluten-free breadcrumbs can be used as a substitute.
