Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- If using fresh cranberries, rinse and drain them. If frozen, thaw the cranberries.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the cranberries with a tablespoon of water. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they begin to burst.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked cranberries and their juices with softened butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt.
- Blend the mixture until smooth using a hand mixer or stand mixer.
- Transfer the butter to a dish or jar and refrigerate for at least one hour to meld flavors.
- Serve with fresh bread, scones, or as a delightful topping for pancakes or waffles.
Notes
For variations, you can replace fresh cranberries with frozen ones and honey with maple syrup or agave nectar. Always taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
