Delicious bite-sized treats featuring tender cinnamon-infused apples topped with a golden buttery crumble and drizzled with homemade caramel.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), washed, peeled, and chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup cream (for caramel sauce)
  • Sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash, peel, and core the apples, then chop them into bite-sized chunks. Toss with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a saucepan, melt brown sugar, butter, and cream over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Drizzle half over the apple mixture.
  4. Combine rolled oats, flour, and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix in melted butter until crumbles form.
  5. Grease a mini muffin tin and layer with the apple mixture, then the crisp topping. Press down gently.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with remaining caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Enjoy warm, and consider serving with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra touch.
