A delightful combination of tender beef marinated with black pepper and sweet pineapple, perfectly seared for a bold and comforting flavor experience.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef (sirloin or flank)
  • 1 cup Pineapple (fresh or canned)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced or 1 tsp powdered)
  • ΒΌ cup Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro or green onions)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat and slice the beef thinly against the grain. Marinate in soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and brown sugar for at least 30 minutes.
  2. If using fresh pineapple, peel and cut into bite-sized chunks, or drain canned pineapple.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear the marinated beef for 3-5 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Stir in pineapple chunks and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly caramelized.
  5. Finish with fresh herbs and serve warm over rice or with a side salad.

Notes

Ensure the skillet is hot before adding beef to achieve a perfect sear. Avoid overcrowding the pan for optimal texture.
