Ingredients
- 1 lb Beef (sirloin or flank)
- 1 cup Pineapple (fresh or canned)
- 1 tsp Black pepper (freshly ground)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced or 1 tsp powdered)
- ΒΌ cup Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Cooking oil (vegetable or sesame)
- Fresh herbs (cilantro or green onions)
Instructions
- Trim excess fat and slice the beef thinly against the grain. Marinate in soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and brown sugar for at least 30 minutes.
- If using fresh pineapple, peel and cut into bite-sized chunks, or drain canned pineapple.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear the marinated beef for 3-5 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Stir in pineapple chunks and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly caramelized.
- Finish with fresh herbs and serve warm over rice or with a side salad.
Notes
Ensure the skillet is hot before adding beef to achieve a perfect sear. Avoid overcrowding the pan for optimal texture.
