Ingredients
- 4 ripe pears (Bosc or Anjou)
- 1 cup goat cheese, soft or crumbled
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (or nutmeg)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the core.
- Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
- Spoon goat cheese into the hollowed-out center of each pear.
- Sprinkle cranberries over the cheese.
- Drizzle honey over the pears.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped nuts.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the pears are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Serve warm, drizzling with more honey before serving.
Notes
Let the baked pears cool slightly before serving. Use firm, ripe pears to maintain their structure while baking.
