Deliciously roasted pears filled with creamy goat cheese, drizzled with honey, and topped with tart cranberries, creating a heartwarming dish that’s perfect for any gathering.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe firm pears (Bosc or Anjou)
  • 8 oz creamy goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds, placing them cut-side up in a baking dish.
  3. Fill the hollowed center of each pear half generously with goat cheese.
  4. Drizzle honey over the cheese-filled pears, allowing it to pool in the dish.
  5. Scatter dried cranberries over the pears and into the dish.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans and fresh herbs over the pears.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until pears are tender and slightly caramelized.
  8. Serve warm, scooping additional honey and cranberries from the dish onto each serving.

Notes

Use ripe but firm pears to prevent them from becoming mushy while baking. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more honey or cranberries.
