Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 splash Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and sauté the mushrooms until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic during the last minute.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until creamy.
- Gently fold in the sautéed mushrooms, parsley, and chives until well mixed.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread the mixture in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top, then serve with crackers or bread.
Notes
Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature before mixing for a smoother consistency. Allow the dip to cool slightly before serving to thicken.
