- 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or sliced
- 2 crisp apples, chopped (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup celery, sliced thin
- 1 cup grapes, halved or chopped (fresh or dried)
- ½ cup walnuts, chopped
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup yogurt or sour cream (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Shred or slice the cooked turkey into bite-sized pieces.
- Core and chop the apples into cubes, leaving the skin on.
- Slice the celery thinly to complement the turkey’s tenderness.
- Wash and halve the grapes.
- In a large bowl, combine the turkey, apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts, gently folding them together.
- For the dressing, whisk together the mayonnaise, yogurt (or sour cream), and lemon juice until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and mix gently.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Prepare the salad a few hours in advance for best flavor. Avoid using overly ripe fruits to maintain texture.
