  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or sliced
  • 2 crisp apples, chopped (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup celery, sliced thin
  • 1 cup grapes, halved or chopped (fresh or dried)
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup yogurt or sour cream (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Shred or slice the cooked turkey into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Core and chop the apples into cubes, leaving the skin on.
  3. Slice the celery thinly to complement the turkey’s tenderness.
  4. Wash and halve the grapes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the turkey, apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts, gently folding them together.
  6. For the dressing, whisk together the mayonnaise, yogurt (or sour cream), and lemon juice until smooth.
  7. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix gently.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Prepare the salad a few hours in advance for best flavor. Avoid using overly ripe fruits to maintain texture.
