Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, browned
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until browned, stirring frequently.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the browned butter with brown and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
