Ingredients
- 1 whole sea bream (1 to 1.5 pounds)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 fresh lemons, sliced
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 tablespoons capers (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Clean the sea bream by removing the scales and insides. Rinse and pat dry.
- Make shallow cuts along the fish’s body on both sides. Rub with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon slices, fresh herbs, and capers if using.
- Lay the fish on a parchment-lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Roast for 25–30 minutes until the flesh flakes easily and the skin is crispy.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Transfer to a platter and garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices. Serve with a side salad or sautéed vegetables.
