Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 corn tortillas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fish under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the fillets into strips.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix crumbled feta, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy.
  4. Dip each fish strip into the egg mixture, then coat with the feta mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Warm corn tortillas in another skillet for a few seconds on each side.
  7. Layer crispy fish in tortillas and top with avocado slices, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
  8. Serve with optional toppings like sliced radishes or creamy sauces.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the pan when frying to achieve perfect crispy fish.
