Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 2-4 fresh jalapeños, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: Rinse the cranberries and chop the jalapeños, wearing gloves if sensitive to spice.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, chopped jalapeños, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and spices over medium heat.
- Stir frequently until the mixture begins to bubble, then lower the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until cranberries pop and thicken.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the seasonings as needed, adding more jalapeños for spice or sugar for sweetness.
- Remove from heat, cool, and transfer into sterilized jars.
- For best flavor, let it rest in the fridge for at least a day before serving.
