- 1 lb spicy breakfast sausage
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 can Rotel, drained
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sausage. Mix until well blended.
- Stir in the drained Rotel, cheddar cheese, flour, and chopped green onions.
- Scoop the mixture into equal portions and roll them into small balls, about one inch in diameter.
- Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there’s space between them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These sausage balls can be made with turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter option. They freeze well before baking.
