Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and buttermilk until light and fluffy.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- For frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and milk until fluffy.
- Once the cake is cool, remove it from the pan, spread frosting on top, and roll it up tightly. Place seam side down, and frost the outside.
- Decorate with powdered sugar for snow and holiday decorations.
