Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 cups milk or yogurt (almond, coconut, or Greek)
- Fresh strawberries, diced
- Sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the oats and chia seeds.
- Pour in the milk (or yogurt) and stir until well mixed. Add the vanilla extract and sweetener, stirring again to combine.
- Fold in the diced strawberries gently.
- Divide the mixture into two or more jars, layering additional strawberries on top.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) for the oats and chia seeds to soak up the liquid.
- When ready to eat, stir well and top with more fresh fruit, nuts, or yogurt as desired.
Notes
