Ingredients
- 200g high-quality dark chocolate (60% cocoa or higher)
- 100ml heavy cream
- 100g toasted hazelnuts, finely chopped
- 50g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 30g butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
- Heat the cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a minute, then whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped hazelnuts and butter until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
- Once chilled, scoop or shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, consider rolling some truffles in finely chopped nuts or shredded coconut.
