- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 cup dark chocolate (minimum 70% cacao)
- 1/4 cup sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or agave syrup)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt it gently in a microwave or a double boiler. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
- Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a food processor.
- Add the melted chocolate, sweetener, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and salt to the food processor with the avocado.
- Blend until achieving a velvety texture, scraping down the sides as necessary. Taste and adjust sweetness or salt as needed.
- Transfer the mousse into serving bowls or ramekins and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
- Optionally, top with fresh berries or a sprinkle of sea salt before serving.
Notes
Use ripe avocados for the best texture. Adjust sweetness to personal preference. Optional ingredients for garnish include fresh berries or whipped cream.
