Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 1/2 cup sautéed onions or shallots
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the chopped onions or shallots in melted butter over medium heat until translucent, about 3–5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix corn, sautéed onions, eggs, milk, honey, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture in, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute plant-based butter and milk. Maple syrup can replace honey.
