Ingredients
- 2 cups corn (fresh or frozen)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1/2 cup sautéed onions or shallots
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the chopped onions or shallots in melted butter over medium heat until translucent, about 3–5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix corn, sautéed onions, eggs, milk, honey, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture in, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute plant-based butter and milk. Maple syrup can replace honey.
