A delicious and tender roasted Butterball turkey breast, perfect for family gatherings and holiday feasts, infused with aromatic herbs and buttery goodness.

  • Total Time: 150 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Butterball turkey breast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Pat the turkey breast dry and place it on a roasting rack. Let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Add lemon juice if desired.
  4. Loosen the skin of the turkey breast and spread the herb butter directly onto the meat.
  5. Place quartered onion inside the cavity of the turkey breast.
  6. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast. Roast for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours until the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with pan juices.
  8. Once done, let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Using a roasting pan with a rack helps achieve a golden brown finish all around the turkey.
