A comforting and nostalgic casserole of ground beef, egg noodles, and sour cream, baked to perfection and topped with creamy cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the egg noodles in salted water until al dente, drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in salt, pepper, and paprika, and let simmer for a few minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the egg noodles with the beef mixture, sour cream, and half of the cheese.
  6. Pour into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish and top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overbake. You can customize with vegetables or alternate proteins as desired.
