Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 8 oz fresh button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup fried onions
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms for 5-7 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream.
- Fold in the blanched green beans and mix well.
- Spread mixture in a greased casserole dish and top with fried onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
For added flavor, mix half of the fried onions into the creamy bean mixture before topping.
