Ingredients
- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- 12 slices thinly sliced bacon
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 3 tbsp honey
- Black pepper or fresh herbs, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Make a lengthwise slit on one side of each date and remove the pit.
- Fill each date with a generous spoonful of goat cheese.
- Wrap each stuffed date with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Arrange the wrapped dates on a lined baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden.
- Drizzle with honey while still warm before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can use turkey bacon. Experiment with different cheeses or add crushed nuts for extra crunch.
