Ingredients
- 8 Hawaiian rolls
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk or coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Slice each Hawaiian roll in half.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Dip each half of the roll into the mixture, soaking for a few seconds on each side.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the soaked rolls in the skillet until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer to a plate and dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use almond milk or oat milk. Flaxseed meal mixed with water can be used as an egg substitute for a vegan version.
