Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mix, add remaining batter, and swirl in the rest of the cinnamon mix.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For perfect slices, cool the cake completely before cutting. Consider adding cream cheese frosting for a sweeter taste.
