Ingredients
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Brush the pastry with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered pastry.
- Cut the pastry into strips (about 1 inch wide) and twist each strip gently.
- Arrange the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra decadence, consider drizzling a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk over the twists while they cool.
