Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then blend or mash until smooth. Strain to remove seeds.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy and pale in color (about 2 minutes).
- Gradually add the powdered sugar on low speed until combined; then add the strawberry puree and vanilla extract.
- If the frosting is too thick, add a splash of heavy cream or milk until a fluffy consistency is achieved.
- Taste and adjust sweetness, adding more sugar if desired.
- Spread or pipe the frosting onto cooled cakes or cupcakes.
