Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced thinly against the grain
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking
- Steamed rice or noodles for serving
- Optional: sesame seeds and chopped scallions for garnish
Instructions
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain. Marinate with soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for 30 minutes.
- In boiling water, blanch the broccoli for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl to create the stir-fry sauce.
- In a hot skillet or wok, add vegetable oil and sauté the marinated beef until browned.
- Return the broccoli to the skillet, pour the sauce over, and toss for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
