Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ones until just mixed.
- Fold in the M&M’s, reserving a handful for the tops of the cookies.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Gently press the reserved M&M’s into the tops of the cookie dough mounds.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still chewy.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For perfectly round cookies, use a cookie scoop. Experiment with different M&M flavors for variety.
