Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon fillets
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko preferred)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (dill or parsley)
- Juice from 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Finely chop the salmon fillets or pulse them in a food processor until chunky.
- In a large bowl, mix the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mustard, garlic, herbs, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 4-6 patties and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Brush the air fryer basket with olive oil and place the patties in, making sure they aren’t overcrowded.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F).
- Serve on toasted buns with fresh toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
Notes
For added crunch, consider mixing in some sesame seeds or crushed nuts. Always check for doneness as cooking times may vary.
