Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Rose Water
- 2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Optional: Dried Rose Petals for garnish
- Pinch of Sea Salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and both sugars until smooth and light.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the rose water.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips (and rose petals, if using) carefully.
- Using a cookie scoop or two spoons, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto your prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each cookie before baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Let cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, use coconut oil or vegan butter. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can enhance the flavor and prevent excessive spreading.
