Deliciously baked Italian grinder sandwiches filled with savory meats, fresh veggies, and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 Hoagie rolls
  • 100g Pepperoni, sliced
  • 100g Salami, sliced
  • 100g Capicola, sliced
  • 100g Roast beef, sliced
  • 200g Provolone cheese, shredded
  • 200g Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Sweet bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup Onions, sliced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the hoagie rolls in half and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  2. Sauté the chopped bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms in a skillet with olive oil until tender. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Layer the meats on the bottom half of each hoagie roll, followed by the sautéed veggies. Drizzle marinara sauce generously over the top.
  4. Cheese it with provolone and mozzarella, and sprinkle fresh herbs on top.
  5. Top it off with the top half of each roll and brush the outside lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the bread is golden brown.
  7. Slice and serve with a side salad or crispy fries.
