Ingredients
- 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup Heavy cream or cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz Fresh mushrooms (button or cremini), sliced
- 4 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
- 1 Onion, sautéed
- 1 cup Low-sodium chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme or parsley, for seasoning
- Pinch of paprika
Instructions
- Sauté the onions and garlic in a skillet until fragrant and slightly golden.
- Add the sautéed onions and garlic to the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Layer with the chicken, then season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Mix the heavy cream with the chicken broth in a bowl.
- Pour the cream mixture over the chicken, covering it completely.
- Add the sliced mushrooms on top.
- Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve by shredding the chicken in the sauce and spooning over your favorite side dishes.
Notes
