Delightful crispy vegan tofu balls, perfect as a snack or main dish, inspired by warmth and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap in a towel and place something heavy on it for 20 minutes.
  2. Crumble the pressed tofu into a large bowl.
  3. Add panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and herbs and spices.
  4. Roll the mixture into one-inch balls.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and place the tofu balls in, making sure they’re not crowded.
  7. Air-fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with dipping sauces like garlic aioli or sweet chili sauce for extra flavor.
