  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil or melted butter

Instructions

  2. Beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, and oil in another bowl. Stir until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan, dollop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over it, sprinkle with nuts, and cover with the remaining batter.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
