Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 head Cabbage, sliced into thin strips
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 cup Cheese (optional, shredded cheddar or mozzarella)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the cabbage by slicing it into thin strips.
- Sauté the onions and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until translucent.
- Brown the ground beef in the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
- Add the tomato paste, thyme, pepper, and paprika to the beef mixture.
- Layer half of the cabbage in a greased baking dish, then top with the beef mixture and remaining cabbage.
- Pour the beef broth over the layers to ensure moisture.
- Bake covered with foil for 45 minutes, then uncover for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy with crusty bread or a salad.
Notes
For added flavor, season between the layers and use fresh ingredients.
