- 12 slider buns
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup bell peppers, diced
- 1 cup onions, diced
- Fresh herbs (chives or parsley) for garnish
- Butter for brushing
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté the diced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Whisk together the eggs with salt and pepper, adding milk if desired.
- Scramble the eggs into the skillet with the sausage and veggies until cooked through.
- Assemble the sliders by placing the bottom halves of the buns into a baking dish, spooning the sausage-egg mixture on top, and adding a slice of cheese.
- Bake the sliders with the top halves for about 15 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
