Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the butter and sugars: In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
- Combine the mixtures by gradually adding dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing gently.
- Fold in the rainbow sprinkles, reserving a few for the tops of the cookies.
- Scoop and drop mounds of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top with reserved sprinkles.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Keep an eye on the cookies while baking to prevent overbaking.
