Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 8 oz Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Carrots, diced
  • 1 cup Peas, frozen
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup Cream or Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Thyme, fresh
  • 1 tsp Parsley, fresh
  • 1 Pie Crust
  • Olive Oil, for sautéing
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook until fragrant.
  2. Combine the sautéed mixture with ground turkey, carrots, peas, broth, and herbs in the crock pot.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  4. Add the creamy component 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Prepare the crust by rolling it out and fitting it over the filling in a pie dish.
  6. Bake at 400°F (204°C) for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
