Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Turkey
- 8 oz Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Carrots, diced
- 1 cup Peas, frozen
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cup Cream or Sour Cream
- 1 tsp Thyme, fresh
- 1 tsp Parsley, fresh
- 1 Pie Crust
- Olive Oil, for sautéing
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook until fragrant.
- Combine the sautéed mixture with ground turkey, carrots, peas, broth, and herbs in the crock pot.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Add the creamy component 30 minutes before serving.
- Prepare the crust by rolling it out and fitting it over the filling in a pie dish.
- Bake at 400°F (204°C) for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
