- 2 ¾ cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup Granulated sugar
- ¾ cup Brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ½ tsp Almond extract
- Green food coloring (gel-based)
- 1 cup Mini chocolate chips or decorative sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Creaming together the softened unsalted butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Coloring: Add food coloring to achieve your desired green hue.
- Shape the dough into balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheets and shaping for gnome hats.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
- Cool cookies on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- Decorate with icing or melted chocolate, mini chocolate chips for eyes, and colorful sprinkles.

Notes
