Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup M&Ms (preferably festive colors)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the M&Ms until evenly distributed.
- Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra chewiness, chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can use chocolate chips as a substitute for M&Ms.
