- 3 ripe bananas

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a standard 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Mix in melted butter, sugar, and beaten eggs until combined.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Incorporate chocolate chips gently into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, checking for doneness around 55 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve sliced, optionally with a pat of butter or cream cheese.
