A comforting and creamy chicken dish made in the Crock Pot, filled with flavors of ranch seasoning and topped with melted cheese.

  • Total Time: 255 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or blend)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces if using breasts, or leave thighs whole.
  2. Add the chicken into the Crock Pot and distribute the softened cream cheese over the top.
  3. Season generously with ranch seasoning and pour the chicken broth over all.
  4. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for about 4 hours.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks in the pot once cooking time is complete.
  6. Add in the shredded cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute some cream cheese for Greek yogurt. This dish is great served over rice, mashed potatoes, or as sliders.
